Wild Stillness Photography
I am a wildlife and nature photographer based in Chattanooga TN. Through my work I paint with light - working within moments that cannot be controlled or repeated. My practice begins in stillness, in learning to receive rather than chase.
Nature cannot be controlled and wildlife live fully in the present, untouched by regret of the past or fear of the future. In spending time in the Wild I am reminded of a deeper rhythm of life - one rooted in balance, resilience, and quiet strength.
My work is shaped by a previous personal journey through cancer, where I came face to face with my own mortality. Photography became a way to return to the present moment - a place where I could breathe and hear the still small voice of the Creator, a place where I felt safe.
Each image is a fleeting encounter, a moment that will never exist again. Through this work, I hope to offer a sense of pause - an invitation to slow down, to feel, and to reconnect with the quiet, wild presence within and around each of us.
“Wild stillness - the act of bringing stillness to the soul without taking the wild from the heart.”
